Pilot Butte Cemetery, in Bend, OR, is a lush, quiet, beautiful graveyard at the foot of Pilot Butte. It sits side-by-side Greenwood Cemetery, and the two create one enormous graveyard. Local lore has said that ghostly blue lights can be seen at night time floating between the headstones. Is Pilot Butte Cemetery haunted? I researched the history connected to this cemetery, established in 1914, and found many fascinating stories of the “residents” of Pilot Butte and Greenwood Cemetery.
